I think I got it going! 🙄🙄

Here are the two cards I made for our church to be delivered with the food baskets.
I think the paper choices were great for these cards.  What do you think?
It’s been a while since I have made cards and I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Let’s get going again!

Hi, after all the things that have been going on I need to get back in the groove here and get moving.  It has been about 2 years since I have been in my scraproom and the hardest thing is remembering where everything is and what all I have.  ðŸ˜‚We have all been through so much it’s time to have fun and enjoy what we like doing…. Making cards!!

So here is my latest card, not my original, 🤫, that I have done for our church group that delivers food baskets to the home bound.  I had to kinda rush to get one done fast, but will start doing my own creations.    ðŸ˜‚😂😂  well, I forgot to take the picture and my daughter is on her way to deliver them at church!  Oh, you talk about being out of practice!    Well, let me go for now and see what I can do.  I will be back!

Oh, it's been way too long...

I said in a couple of previous posts that I was coming back and getting busy here.  Well, sometimes life gets in the way and then you get an unexpected illness that almost takes you out.... it was bad.  But thanks be to God, here I am and definitely going to be here often.

I was walking through Michael's and saw a little two foot tree and thought... that would be great for a "HOPE" tree, I could put pink ribbons with tags and the names of the people can be hung on the tree.....
Well, I had to get it ok'd with my Pastor, so I went in with my little 2 foot tree and talked to him and he thought it was a great idea.  He said every family is touched by cancer.  So we continued talking and he would repeal say, I really like the idea with the Hope Tree. Then he said, since we have 500-600 people at service each weekend I think it would be very nice and comforting to some as I will take it at the end of the month and place it in the Sanctuary and say a special prayer......I looked at my little tree and thought 500-600 in the congregation every weekend????   I told him we could put a donation box and all money collected would be donated to cancer research.  He continued to agree and I still kept looking at my little 2 foot tree.  End of meeting......... Michael's here I come and getting the 4 foot tree.....Whew!! feel a little better.  LOL  We had a little over a hundred ribbons and had donations of $250 or so.  Time to donate to cancer center...WAIT!! THERE'S MORE..... we were told there was a grant we could get because of the donation and this really floored me.... we got the grant and it matched $14.00 to $1.00... we ended up donating over $3,000. for research.  AWESOME!!!!!

Also, since October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, here are some cards that my daughter friend and I made and shared them at my church with the Hope Tree.  Many tags have been hung on the tree and the cards, and prayers were being said for those starting treatment, going through treatment, survivors, and for those who fought and lost the battle.

So here we go..... a few pictures, nothing cropped or otherwise... just a few snapshots taken.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back often and visit.

So until then,
Take care and God Bless.

Helllllooooo!!!!!

Just stopping by to say hi and to let everyone know I haven't given up on my card making or my blog, but as I mentioned before I had hurt my shoulder a couple of years ago and it has gotten worse over time.  I have a "Numb Thumb" on my right hand and that's not good when you are right handed.   I am now going to therapy and hopefully I will be up and at it real soon.   I really miss your visits and I am looking forward to starting up again very soon.

Please stayed tuned!!

So until next time

It's been too long.....

Yes, indeed, it has been too long that I have not been here or anywhere else, life just gets crazy sometimes.  So I am back and hopefully will stay and get some cards posted.  This month at Through the Purple Haze is for Halloween of course and scary too!  So lets get going here.

This image is from East Wind and is the Halloween With with Black Kitty.

 EastWind

Just about everything I used was from my hoarded scrapbooking stash.  LOL
The paper I used was from Close to My Heart - My Reflections- Scaredy Cat
The Black Mesh, Spider, Boo Clothespin, Bats were all from stash too!
I colored my image with Copic Markers.
And the above card was the final outcome.

So it's time for my scrappy friends to get into their stash and get your card posted in the Challenge at Through the Purple Haze "Halloween".

I have to share this.... scary but funny!
As I am here typing my blog this awful clacking sound starts and I am looking everywhere, I had no idea what it was or where it was coming from and my daughter in the other side of the house comes in the scraproom and is asking what is that noise... as you walked around the room the noise sounded like it was coming from the other side. I said, oh, it's coming from the laundry room, nothing there either.   Finally, she looked up and there was a balloon she received for her birthday hooked in the fan and it was just making that awful noise with the ceiling.   It really was scary and was very loud.

Well, my friends, I am glad you stopped by and I hope to see you again real soon.

So until next time,
Take care and God Bless.
Hugs
Joanie
